Karl Marx’s Critique of Technology and the Future Society

Although there were various historical misunderstanding and covering, Marx’s philosophy and Marxist philosophy is still the most powerful philosophical trend in the world in modern and current times. This everlasting and powerful influence fully demonstrates that Marx’s philosophy has its innate quality directly facing present days and the days to come. The author focuses upon the philosophy of technology, especially taking " modern technology and future civilization” as the theme of this article, tries to probe the path-finding significance of Karl Marx in the philosophical history of modern technology, as well as to explain an essential relationship between the criticism of capital society around " alienated labor” and his critique of technology and, finally, to re-explain Marx’s ideal of communism by trying to expect a future direction of new civilization defined by modern technology. Today, the modern technology with AI and biological technique as its core is accelerating in promoting a double-technology, i.e., the non-natural, of human body and soul, resulting in forming a new human phase and a new mode of civilization in the not-far future. The latter will be possible to approach a future ideal society designed and proofed by Karl Marx.
