Let the Society Work:The Public Life Construction of Sate-Society Relationship

Abstract

Community governance is facing challenges like lasting conflicts as well as early aging. How to understand these difficulties needs viewpoints based on the relationship between state and society, and there are three traditional ways: institutional, philosophical and discourse approaches. We identify the mutual construct relationship between state-society, and take public life as mechanism to deconstruct challenges in communities. We identified three interact mechanism in community: guanxi type, political type and private-interest type. From the view of mutual construct, the lasting of conflicts not only caused by the lacking of mechanism for private-interests involved public life, but also by the unwell-functioning mechanism between state and social system. We suggest create supporting systems for a stable society and prosperous state.
