理势之辨与双轨政治——基于《大义觉迷录》中田制问题的讨论

摘要: 由费孝通提出的“双轨政治”兼具政治结构和政治意识的双重内涵,《大义觉迷录》中雍正与儒家知识分子关于井田制展开的角力,生动地展现了双轨政治作为一种政治意识在传统社会的延续和力量。雍正用贫富不齐是“自然之理势”的“理势合一观”来批驳井田制,显示出了一种与儒家思想“理势分殊”认识取向的决裂,他更深层次的用意是消解道统的合法性,意在说明皇权之外再无它理。儒家知识分子秉持着理势分殊的认识取向,坚持在制度精神层面对井田制进行维护和阐发,认为井田制所蕴含的富民之意是高于现实情势的“理”。在这个意义上来说,中国传统社会的政治结构始终是双轨的。Abstract: The “dual-track politics” proposed by Fei Xiaotong has the dual connotations of political structure and political consciousness. The interaction between Yongzheng and the Confucian intellectuals over the well-field system in The Record of an Awoke Schoolar(《大义觉迷录》) vividly demonstrates the continuity and power of dual-track politics as a political consciousness. Emperor Yongzheng refutes the well-field system with the “unity of reason and situation” view that the disparity between the rich and the poor is “the natural reason and situation”, which shows a break with the “separation of reason and situation” orientation of Confucianism. His deeper intention was to dissolve the legitimacy of Confucian orthodoxy. The essence of the Confucian intellectuals' defence and elaboration of the square-fields system was that they wished to put the meaning of the square-fields system to make the people live in peace and contentment in the system of future generations. In this sense, the political structure of traditional Chinese society has always been dual-track.
