Glimmer of Memory: An Entry to Understand Society and Its Memory
Abstract: The study of "glimmer of memory" originated from the oral history research practice in sociology, which is used to depict the relationship between individual memory and collective memory, and to explore the meaning and value of the "glimmer" that flashes between memory and forgetting."Glimmer of memory" is deeply hidden in the interaction between people and society, based on people themselves, and through the efforts from the inside out, it becomes a path to explore the relationship between self and society/world.The self is inherent in the civilization, and it can also be said as the most fundamental force of civilization.Other forces grow on this basis. The memory subject mainly relies on the current remains of a past object instead of rational power, and follows clues to find the essence of life. This process presents a knowledge schema that constructs society from the inside out, depicting the subtle mechanism of human civilization and knowledge production.
