乡村社会的仪式与秩序——莆田东华三村的历史人类学考察

摘要: 在中国乡土社会的历史人类学研究中,通过考察乡村庙宇与仪式传统,可以深入探讨乡土社会文化的运行机制。依据东华三村的现存族谱、碑刻、仪式文献,结合田野调查资料,依次考察家族与“里社”、村庙与“角头庙”的仪式传统,以及超村落的“仪式联盟”和社团性仪式组织。研究表明,“里社”是家族的“礼仪标签”,而村庙和“角头庙”是地域性仪式共同体,此外还有超村落的“仪式联盟”和社团性的仪式组织。这种多层次的仪式系统,构成了错综复杂的社会文化网络,维护了乡村社会的人际关系与社会秩序。揭示“地方权力体系仪式化”的历史进程。
Ritual and Order in Rural Society——An Historical Anthropology Study of Donghua Three Villages, Putian
Abstract: In historical anthropological research into Chinese rural society, village temples and ritual traditions can offer profound insights into the operational mechanisms of grassroots culture. Based on genealogies, stone inscriptions, and ritual texts preserved in the three villages of Donghua, Putian, supplemented with data collected through fieldwork, this paper investigates the ritual traditions of lineages and lishe (local communal organizations), village temples and jiaotou (sub-village) shrines, as well as inter-village ritual alliances and associations. The study reveals that the she community shrine serves as a "ritual marker" for the lineage, while village temples and jiaotou temples function as territorial-based ritual communities. Furthermore, beyond the scale of the village there also exist "ritual alliances" and corporate ritual organizations. This multi-layered ritual system constitutes a complex socio-cultural network that sustains interpersonal relationships and social order in rural society, reflecting the historical process of the ritualization of local power structures.
