The Path of Technology-oriented and the Construction of Art Theory

Abstract

As a kind of fundamental force, technology plays a key role in the art development, which has not received enough attention in the process of art theory construction. Technology has an essential impact on art in two dimensions − “energy” and “information”. Therefore, “legislating for energy” and “interpreting information” have become paths that constructs art theory from the technological dimension, accordingly. At present, China is experiencing a radical change in technology triggered by mobile Internet, 5G and so on, and the art world is also facing a brand-new revolution. The breakthrough of art theory from the orientation of the technological dimension to achieve theoretical innovation is not only meaningful for the construction of Art Theory itself, but also has a significant meaning for the innovative development of the whole humanities.
