Abstract: In Hu Xiansu's teachers and friends group, although there were differences in knowledge structures between the "elders" and the Western scholars who were mainly international students, there was interaction and integration between "past", "future", and "Chinese and Western". This pattern not only implements the concept of "carrying forward the past and opening up the future, integrating Chinese and Western cultures", but also made the cultural conservatism of Hu's "Xueheng School" open and inclusive. Not only that, Hu Xiansu's opponent in the debate also had pushed forward relevant thinking from the other side. Through stimulation and response, they became a special force in the construction of cultural conservatism.
