Abstract: It is of vital significance of theory and practice to enhance the theoretical study on Xi Jinping thought of new era socialism with Chinese characteristics. In order to engage in theoretical study, it is, on one hand, to insist on the guidance of Xi Jinping thought of new era socialism with Chinese characteristics accelerate the building of faculty system, scholastic system and discourse system, and to promote the construction of philosophical-social sciences with Chinese characteristics, and, on the other hand, the theoretical study can enhance supporting the faculty system, scholastic system and discourse system of New Thought, to further display the theoretical and originate nature in the New Thought, thus to wholly and systematically expose Xi Jinping thought of new era socialism with Chinese characteristics in the realms of time, science, truth, and manifest the quality and style of Marxism in comtemporary China. For theoretical study, it is necessary to stick to the fundamental theme and principle line of Xi Jinping thought of new era socialism with Chinese characteristics, to focus on exploring the New Thought’s contribution of originality to Marxist theory, so as to embody the New Thought’s theoretical innovation, value creation and practical guidance. For promoting theoretical study, it is necessary to settle the inner relationships between theoretical study and the theoretical publicity and implementing of the Party, between ideological content and instrumental nature, between praxis and theory, between scholastic discourse and policy discourse, between native practice and international practice, and between theoretical nature and popularization.
