On the Exploration of the “Fox Model” in the Knowledge Production of “Atmosphere Aesthetics”

As a newly-emerged aesthetic theory in contemporary times,Gernot Bøhme's atmosphere aesthetics features a typical “fox model” in its knowledge production,which is mainly manifested in four aspects:first,it is based on the current situation's practical concerns and humanistic sentiments;second,it involves interdisciplinary collaboration;third,it has a distinct practical character;and fourth,it possesses a strong social critical nature.Social criticality is the soul that runs through the theoretical knowledge construction of Bøhme's atmosphere aesthetics.This aesthetic theory with contemporary characteristics,by fully exerting its critical potential,penetrates the ideological tricks of the current aesthetic capitalism,liberating the public from the consumer illusion created by atmosphere creation,and leading them to achieve true human freedom through playful interaction with the atmosphere.
